The Botanist Wickliffe opened in 2019 as Lake County’s first licensed cannabis dispensary, built on a philosophy that cannabis retail should feel closer to a pharmacy consultation than a retail transaction. Acreage Holdings, which now operates the Botanist chain nationally, has maintained that original staff culture — the focus is on understanding what a customer actually needs before recommending anything, which is rarer in high-volume dispensary environments than it sounds.

Wickliffe sits on the northeast Ohio lakeshore between Cleveland and the Mentor-on-the-Lake area, and the Euclid Ave location draws from a wide catchment that includes Willoughby, Euclid, and Mentor.
